Since we did Harper's one year old pictures at Botanica Gardens, we returned for the 2 year old pictures. It's fun to roam the gardens and take lots of pictures!

WIN Presents Denise Brown

I was asked to do the PR for a Wichita Women's Initiative Network fundraiser that occurred on April 19-20th. WIN works with women survivors of domestic violence by providing work and educational opportunities that lead to financial and emotional independence. We began working on the event in late 2009. It has been a wonderful and interesting experience. We brought Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson to Wichita to speak about domestic violence. We partnered with a local television station, local radio and print media to promote the event. There was a VIP reception and a lecture at the WSU Metroplex. Denise visited WIN and spoke with the women survivors of domestic violence that are in the WIN program. It was a very successful fundraiser that increased community awareness about domestic violence and the work the WIN does here in Wichita. Working on the event and meeting so many wonderful volunteers was a very rewarding experience.

Mandy's Wedding

Saturday we attended Jeff's cousin's daughter's wedding. It is always fun to get everyone together for a celebration. Impossible to get everyone posing for the camera! Harper loved to dance. She was on the floor all by herself as soon as the music started. Not exactly shy!

Taylor Swift in concert! She was great! Jeff couldn't go so Alexandria brought her friend Emma.

Big 12 and Girls Weekend

Jeff was off to the Big 12 last week so I decided to have a girls weekend. Jeana, Jill and Harper came for the weekend. We just played, got pedicures and hung out with Taylor & Alexandria. It was a great time!

We saw Elton John and Billie Joel in concert Wednesday. It was long and great! Then we headed to Houston on Thursday. While Jeff & Bill worked, I got to shop and explore Houston with Sandy Livingston. Fun weekend!

Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! Tom and Betty, Jill and Brad, Mom and Dad, Jason, Angela, Taylor and Alexandria all were here for church and lunch. Jeana and Josh went to Chicago to see friends, Christy & Ali so Harper joined us for the weekend. Everyone is very patient with me as I make them pose for pictures.
